Candidate Nagelsmann OUT → Pochettino sudden rise… Tottenham manager to Chelsea?

Manager Julian Nagelsmann seems to have been excluded from the candidate for the Chelsea managerial position. Manager Mauricio Pochettino has risen as a strong runner.

Transfer market expert Fabricio Romano said on his SNS 먹튀검증on the 21st (Korean time), “Coach Nagelsmann has stepped down from the competition for Chelsea’s new manager. This seems to be his final decision. Coach Nagelsmann was originally Chelsea’s top-tier. candidate,” he said.

As a result, manager Pochettino has emerged as a strong candidate. Reporter Romano previously said that Chelsea had already been in contact with manager Pochettino over the past few days. Also, reporter Matt Law of the British ‘Telegraph’ said, “After positive talks with Chelsea, the possibility of Pochettino’s appointment has increased.”

Chelsea made a sudden head coach change at the beginning of this season. Graham Porter took over the helm in place of Thomas Tuchel. Porter, who showed outstanding leadership at Brighton, achieved good results in the early stages. He recorded 6 wins and 3 draws, including 5 consecutive victories, in his first 9 matches across all competitions.

But he soon began to falter. In particular, the crisis continued in 2023. Porter’s managerial system has only won one win in 11 official games in January and February. 11 matches, 1 win, 4 draws and 6 losses. He seemed to rebound in March, but failed to impress and eventually left Chelsea after seven months.

First of all, Chelsea are sending Frank Lampard as interim manager until the end of this season. Currently, we are concentrating our efforts on appointing a formal command tower. Nagelsmann, along with coach Luis Enrique, who initially took the helm of Barcelona and the Spanish national team, was a strong candidate. However, according to recent news, the possibility of Nagelsmann taking over as manager has declined.

This led to the rise of manager Pochettino. Coach Pochettino has enough experience in the English Premier League (EPL). He managed Southampton for a year and a half from 2013, and led Tottenham Hotspur from the 2014-15 season. In particular, his leadership was recognized by steadily leading Tottenham to the European Football Federation (UEFA) Champions League (UCL).

In the 2018-19 season, he led Tottenham to the first UCL final stage in the club’s history and received high praise. However, these achievements were temporarily hardened due to poor grades the following year. Afterwards, he worked as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manager and is currently resting. Pochettino is rumored to return to Tottenham.
